The new and improved classic cord shorts feature one inch of extra length, landing just above the knee, with an adjustable drawcord waist, to be able to wear wherever it suits you best. You can size up to land on the hip for a relaxed look or go true to size for that classic retro feel.

Produced in small batches by expert craftspeople in Southern California. Made with 100% cotton 14-wale corduroy.

Features include a proprietary SurfNyl® fly, signature Birdwell pocket on the back, spacious "porkchop" pockets on the front, bar-tacked stress points, and real-wood buttons. Every pair has also been rinse-washed for softness and comfort.

We'll see how they hold up. Thinner material than I expected. Comfortable but expensive. . . time will tell.

They’re back and they’re badass

Better than the ones you may (or may not) remember. The most comfortable shorts I’ve put on since my last pair of corduroy walking shorts blew out in the 90’s. True to size but just a hair baggy in the seat. Aside from one or two stray threads inside the front pockets the workmanship is excellent, as I expected for the money. Buy without hesitation and don’t be surprised if you hear “99 Red Balloons” in your head as you try them on!

Love these corduroy shorts! The only suggestion I would make is to eliminate the Made in the USA tag on the back of the shorts leaving only the Birdwell brand label.
